The Archdeacon's Visitation

The Archdeacon’s Visitation is on Monday 22 June, 7:30pm, at St Mary, Astbury. Archdeacon Jane looks forward to welcoming Clergy, Wardens and Sidespeople to the service.

Confirmation Service

 Congratulations to Victoria, Jane, Jake & Darryl who were Confirmed by Bishop Mark last Sunday, what a fantastic occasion it was. Also thanks to all who helped prepare for the service and for those who helped on the day. It was much appreciated, Revd Mike.
Also a big thank you from Hilary to everyone who contributed and helped with the flowers and preparing the Church for the Confirmation service.

Upcoming Community Events

Christian Aid Week Final Total

We now have the final total collected by St Mary’s – including Gift Aid a wonderful £1323.47. Thank you to the brilliant team of delivers and collectors. You have not only raised a super amount of money but also represented St Mary’s out and about across the Parish. Sarah R.

Women Ignited Together

All women are invited to a walk on Monday 22 June meeting at the Rectory 104 Church Lane at 1.30 we will walk around Joey the Swan and then to the Woodside for drinks (pudding optional) for more info see Rachael Rivers or Sarah Turnbull.

Men's clothing needed

Britt and Colin are collecting items for a charity café in Crewe that gives free hot food to homeless and needy people. They require men’s clean warm coats, jumpers, jogging trousers, tops, t shirts, socks, trainers & blankets.

Ladies Afternoon Group

The Ladies enjoyed an interesting talk last week about the Social History of Crewe. It brought back many memories from years ago!!!!! Our next meeting is on 25th June when the Wells Green Singers will be entertaining us. I look forward to seeing you then. Frances.

Church Men's Group Social Evening

Church Men’s Group 26 June at 7.30pm. You are invited to Ebenezers (Nantwich Rd) for a beer followed by a meal. All men welcome. Please RSVP via the Men’s Group WhatsApp so I can book a table at a restaurant. Cheers. Howard.

St Luke’s Café

The next Café at St Luke’s will be on Saturday 4th July, 10am to 12 noon with a summer theme, everyone welcome!

Choir Vestry Repairs

The Dry Rot repairs in the Choir Vestry.
The whole project has now been quoted at £81,000!
Many thanks for the donations and fund-raising received so far of £18,718. If you would like to donate towards this project please let Revd Mike know. To complete the works we will applying for grants towards the costs.
